OUR MISSION Edgar and I will be serving in our local church in discipleship ministry. We attend a two-year old, evangelical church plant called Amistad Internacional (International Friendship). We serve on the praise team, in small group discipleship, and in evangelism and outreach. The other ministry we work with is called “A Smile of Hope and Love.” This ministry has developed programs that reach out to the physical needs of the local communities. These programs provide basic needs such as food, clothing, housing, and running water. “If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.” 1 John 3:17-18 Where there is a need, there’s a call. The Lord has shown us the need and we are thrilled to answer the call. Edgar and I are excited to bring the hope and love of Christ to these communities by meeting their physical needs, as well as their spiritual needs.
