OUR STORY

Edgar and I met in Costa Rica, but that is not home for either of us.

Edgar was born and raised in Columbia. He traveled to Costa Rica in 2001 on a music ministry tour. God impressed it upon his heart to stay in Costa Rica and continue ministry there. Five years later, he is now attending Bible school, playing in the musical group, assisting in social programs to minister to the poor, and serving in the local church.

Two summers ago, I took my first trip to Costa Rica in order to study Spanish before going to Venezuela on a mission trip. As the summer ended my passion for the people, the culture, and the language did not. I returned to Costa Rica to continue studying Spanish, praying for God to show me how He wanted to use this newfound desire to minister to Latinos.

While attending the language school, I visited a local, Columbian church plant, where I met many Columbian friends, including Edgar. As our friendship grew, I began to see Edgar’s love for the Lord and his passion to serve through missions as well.
